RATES 2008

When you plan your Anticia adventure you can choose to have a “Captain Only” charter or a “Fully Inclusive” charter.

CAPTAIN ONLY
The “Captain Only” gives you the boat and the use of her on-board equipment (such as kayaks (2), windsurfer, fishing and snorkelling gear, waterbeds, etc.) and the Captain. Your party will cater for themselves (although Captain Chris will be pleased to prepare and serve breakfast, if you wish).  Your party will be responsible for preparing all other meals for themselves and the Captain, and all clearing up.

You will only pay for the items consumed or services rendered on your vacation and so how much your charter costs will depend on how much you eat and drink and how much fuel you use.  The table below shows the basic cost of your charter.

Please Contact Us if you would like prices for charters of longer or shorter duration.

All other expenses will be charged at cost but in order to help you get an idea of what the total price of your charter will be you can approximate the costs for food (including provisioning service charge), drink, water, ice and fuel at $90 per person per day – some charterers will spend more than this… some less. It’s up to you!

We ask for an “Advance Provisioning Allowance” (APA),  payable before the charter begins.  This is calculated as 25% of the “Captain only” fee and will be offset against the actual costs of provisioning.  You will be provided with all receipts and any balance due or payable will be settled before the end of the charter.

Anticia will be provisioned for you before you board, the selection of food and drink being based on the information you provide on your Preference Form (which will be e-mailed to you before the charter). A 15% service charge will be added to the provisioning costs.

Anticia’s water tanks will be full at the start of the charter and will normally be topped up by the onboard water maker.   There is no extra charge for this.  However, if guests’ water consumption exceeds the water maker’s capabilities, chargeable topping-up at marinas may be necessary.

FULLY INCLUSIVE
The “Fully Inclusive” option gives you the boat and the use of her on-board equipment, the captain, chef/mate, food, drink (“Bahamas Bar” and soft drinks), fuel, water and ice, all at a fixed price.

3 cabins (sleeping a maximum of 6 people) are available for “Fully Inclusive” charters.

Food on a Fully Inclusive Charter
We serve three meals a day, as well as snacks and fresh fruits. Fresh fish or lobster is also served, in season. Most meals served will be a combination of local and international cuisine and each party will be asked to complete Anticia’s “Preference Form” so that we can tailor the meals on board to the tastes of your group. Here is a sample menu!

DOCKAGE
Whether you opt for “Captain Only” or “Fully Inclusive” the cost of staying on docks or at Marinas (if you choose to do so) will be passed on to you direct. The cost is usually around $100 per night with an extra charge for power – usually between $20 and $40 per night.

GRATUITIES
The live-aboard business is a service industry - few other recreational activities rely so heavily upon the professionals in charge for your enjoyment and safety. Besides being at the mercy of Mother Nature, the quality of your Anticia adventure is based on the person(s) who provide it. We strongly believe that gratuities should be voluntary and based upon the quality of the service the crew provides. If you are disappointed with the service, you should inform the Captain of your feelings and leave no more gratuity than you feel is right, the accepted norm for the live-aboard business being 10%-20%. The gratuity can be given to the Captain at the end of the week.
